Woody's encourages prospective pet owners to look to rescue shelters and/or responsible breeders for their next pet. Puppy mills and unscrupulous breeders subject their animals to inhumane treatment and conditions. These breeders also practice in-breeding that produce deficient cats and dogs.
Rescue Organizations:

Bijou, 16, joined the family of Karla Gust of Blaine, MN 4 years ago from Minnesota Bichon Rescue. Bijou suffered from severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Four different vets could not solve Bijou's problem. It took Karla's own research and support from a holistic vet to finally give Bijou relief from IBD. Bijou is now on a raw food diet and loving it!
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Dry food is cooked 3x all at internal temps above 300F: (1) Making the raw ingredient in powder form, (2) Combining all ingredients in the extrusion process, and (3) Drying the kibbles to make dry food. Canned pet food is cooked 2x also at extreme temps. Humans cook food once at 180F.
