We encourage all pet parents to learn more about pet nutrition.  An informed pet parent is a better pet parent.

Useful Information

  • Dr. Marty Goldstein, Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart's vet, lists a hierarachy of pet foods from ideal, whole foods, to worst, commercial pet foods.
  • Dr. Michael W. Fox,  renowned veterinarian, former vice president of The Humane Society of the United States, former vice president of Humane Society International, and the author of more than 40 books and a syndicated columnist, lists all the questionable and unhealthful ingredients in manufactured pet foods.
  • Dr. Elizabeth Hodgkins, former head veterinarian and board member at Hill's Company, maker of Science Diet, argues that epidemic proportions of pet obesity and diabetes are caused by commercial dry pet foods.
  • Dr. Francis Pottenger, in his famous cat nutrition study, showed that generations of cats on raw diets remained healthy, while those on cooked diets, degenerated.
  • Fiona MacMillan researched concerns by vets on commercial pet foods and came up with a list of scientific journal articles linking commercial pet foods to pet disease and death.

Use our mini-library!

We have a small collection of books and journals about pet nutrition.  When you visit our store, we encourage you to spend the time to look over some of our books and discover for yourself why natural pet nutrition is more scientific than laboratory pet nutrition.

We also encourage you to sign-up for our one-hour pet nutrition clinics
